Rashidi Natara Harper is the founder of Harperville, a creative collective of friends and filmmakers that have a passion for storytelling.
He began his love for storytelling on the theater stage as a child actor. In his teenage years he discovered filmmaking and was inspired by Spike Lee’s “She’s Gotta Have It” enough to make directing his life’s mission.
While the mission may not have gone as planned, it has provided an entertaining journey of twists, turns and spiral loops that any great filmmaker worth their salt has experienced. And with this experience, Rashidi has learned to love the adrenaline rush and thrill of roller coasters. For clients from Apple to Nike and legends like Mike Tyson to Kendrick Lamar, Harperville is the monster roller coaster ride for the bold and adventurous.
Rashidi worked up the nerve to rap for Ice Cube, it didn’t go well.
